English: numbers 1 to 12

Esta cancion nos ayudará a repasar los número fundamentales para aprender las horas.



De este modo la parte dificil será solo recordar si son en punto (o'clock) o si son y media (half past).

Naturals: invertebrates

A lo largo de esta unidad de ciencias naturales estamos recordando muchas cosas que aprendimos el año pasado, como por ejemplo: seres vivos (living things), plantas (plants), reino animal (animal kingdom), ovíparo (oviparous) y vivíparo (viviparous)... etc. La novedad de este año es que estamos prestando más atención a los invertebrados (invertebrates) que a los vertebrados (vertebrates) del curso pasado.

La diferencia entre vertebrados e invertebrados está en los huesos que bajan por la espalda, las vértebras. Todos los animales que los tienen son vertebrados (vertebrates) y forman las cinco familias que ya aprendimos: peces (fish), anfibios (amphibians), reptiles, aves (birds) y mamíferos (mammals). Pero los animales que no tienen esos huesos se consideran invertebrados (invertebrates) y de esos hay tres grupos que veremos a continuación: gusanos (worms), moluscos (molluscs) y artrópodos (arthropods).

Los gusanos (worms)tienen el cuerpo alargado (long) y blando (soft). Las lombrices (earthworms) y las orugas (caterpillars) pertenecen a este grupo.


Los moluscos (molluscs) son unos invertebrados que se reconocen fácilmente por su concha (shell). Todos los moluscos tienen una rígida carcasa exterior que protege su cuerpo blando y musculoso. Algunos moluscos como el mejillón (mussel) o el caracol (snail) tienen la concha por fuera, pero hay otros como los calamares (squids) que lo llevan en el interior únicamente para sujetar el pico de su boca a la cabeza.


Finalmente, en la familia de los artrópodos (arthropods) encontramos dos grandes grupos: insectos (insects) y arácnidos (arachnids). Sin importar el grupo al que pertenezcan, a todos los artrópodos se les reconoce porque su cuerpo se puede dividir fácilmente en tres partes: cabeza (head), tórax (thorax) y abdomen. La única manera que hemos visto para diferenciar un insecto de un arácnido es contar sus patas. Los arácnidos tendrán ocho como las arañas (spiders) y escorpiones (scorpions) y los insectos tendrán seis como las hormigas (ants) y las mariposas (butterflies). En todos los artrópodos las patas (legs) y las alas (wings) saldrán del tórax.

English: numbers 1 to 20

Este año estamos aprendiendo un montón de palabras nuevas y a veces parece que no tenemos tiempo para repasar hasta las cosas más sencillas. Por eso y para evitar que se nos olvide lo que ya deberíamos saber de sobra, vamos a ir recordando algunas cosas básicas.

Hoy, por ejemplo, comenzamos con los números que van del 1 al 20. Esta canción nos ayudará cuando tengamos que escribir los años, el número de mes, las horas e incluso nuestra edad.

Naturals: octopuses

Los moluscos son una de las familias de invertebrados (invertabrates) más grandes de todo el reino animal. Casi todos los moluscos (mollusc) que conocemos viven en el agua pero todos comparten su cuerpo musculoso y una concha (shell) que les protege. Sin embargo no todos los moluscos tienen su concha en el exterior. Hay algunos, como el pulpo (octopus), la sepia (cuttlefish) o el calamar (squid) que como no tienen esa carcasa protectora, han aprendido a esconderse muy bien con su entorno. Perciben lo que les rodea y son capaces de imitar tanto el color como la textura cambiando y arrugando su piel.

Esta extraordinaria percepción de su entorno hace que los pulpos sean considerados como una de las criaturas más inteligentes de todo el océano.


Los moluscos son ovíparos y ponen centenares de huevos diminutos a la vez de los que nacen las crías sin necesidad de que sus padres se encarguen de ella hasta que se hagan mayores.

Naturals: animals

El año pasado aprendimos una canción en la que aprendimos el nombre de muchísimos animales y también qué ruido hacia cada uno. Es una suerte que aun nos acordemos de la canción porque nos viene de maravilla para recordar los nombres de algunos animales. English: demostratives

Este año estamos aprendiendo un montón de palabras nuevas y a veces parece que no tenemos tiempo de repasar hasta las cosas más sencillas. Por eso y para evitar que se nos olvide lo que ya deberíamos saber de sobra, vamos a ir recordando algunas cosas básicas.
